We should get out of PA ahead of schedule and are thinking about which route to take west. I've wanted to return to SD to hike and revisit the Badlands. So we'll have to see what the weather is like mid August. Could be too hot but then again they could have a cool spell! I love that you have jackets on!! Sure looks like lots of beautiful areas! We stayed at the city park in Spearfish. And the forests around Mystic and Rochford are some of the prettiest in the Black hills. And the Mickelson trail is excellent! I once ran a half marathon on the Mickelson Trail starting south of Rochford and ending in Deadwood.
