Campground Review: Outback Montana RV Park, Bigfork, MT

Just a few miles South of Bigfork, MT, set in the forest, the Outback Montana RV Park is rustic and inexpensive, with a one week stay with 30amp full hookups at $160. That is the lowest rate we've paid in weeks, and quite surprising for a summer hotspot.

There are 51 sites, about half are small back ins and half are long pull throughs, some full hookups, some electric only, some dry sites. Roads and sites are dirt/gravel. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring. Sites are pretty close together and are narrow. The park is very forested so satellite service is pretty much impossible.

We had 30amp full hookup site #4. The site (like most of the sites) was narrow, we were glad we only have slides on one side. Due to the turn of the road our site felt more separate from our neighbors.

There are older restrooms with showers, NO laundry. Our own Verizon internet and cell service was slow, we had to use our booster to make phone calls. The park wifi was okay.

The park was very quiet at night and pretty convenient to the things we wanted to do in the area. The price was excellent, especially in the middle of summer in a touristy area. If you prefer to stay at parks where things are very well maintained and groomed, you probably won't want to stay here, it is rustic and the plants are left to nature!
