Campground Review: Black Rabbit RV Park, Hamilton, MT

Black Rabbit RV Park sits at the North edge of Hamilton, MT in the beautiful Bitterroot Valley. The RV park is not much to talk about, roads and sites are dirt/gravel, each site has a picnic table...but all sites are quite close together and rather ugly to boot.

The redeeming factor for this park is the long stretch of parkland (grass and huge cottonwood trees) that creates the West border and separates the park from the Bitterroot River. We were able to walk 20 feet from our RV and enjoy this park space and also explore the rivers edge. Rosie loved this part too!

Amenities include wifi, laundry and showers and a small store. We did not use the parks wifi, we used our own good Verizon 4G service during our stay. Rate paid was about $30/night.

This was a convenient place to stay, nice and quiet at night. The park space was wonderful but the RV sites were pretty ugly. If traveling through this area again we'd probably try somewhere else.

And a shout out to Higher Ground Brewery...good beer and good pizza!

The wonderful park space was right across the road from our site, thank goodness!

The Bitterroot River was just beyond the park space.
